Visiting the website
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. On every visit, the server processes technical data such as your IP address, browser, operating system and the time of your visit. This is needed to show the page and to keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest). These server logs are kept for a limited time only.
Visitor statistics
I use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit the website, which pages they view and how often a discount code is copied or a shop is opened. This works without cookies and without data that identifies you personally. You are not tracked across days or across other websites. I also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load, using data such as device type and loading time, again without cookies. I only see aggregated numbers (legitimate interest).
If you email me
If you email info@loranmaes.be, I use your name, email address and message to reply and, if we end up working together, to carry out that collaboration. I keep those emails as long as needed for our contact. Records I have to keep for my accounts, such as invoices, are kept as long as the law requires.
YouTube videos
Videos on this website only load when you click play. Until then I only show an image, loaded through my own server. When you click play, the YouTube player (youtube-nocookie.com) loads, and from that moment Google processes data under its own privacy policy.
Discount links and links to other websites
When you click a discount link or a brand logo, you go to that brand’s website. That website, and sometimes a partner that registers the referral, may set cookies to apply your discount or count my referral. Their privacy policy applies. The same goes for the links to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Strava and LinkedIn.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own, which is why you don’t see a cookie banner.
Transfers outside the European Union
Vercel Inc. is based in the United States, so data processed through hosting or statistics may end up outside the European Union. Vercel participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and uses the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict processing, to object and to data portability. Email info@loranmaes.be to exercise these rights. I reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
Changes
If anything changes in how this website handles data, I update this policy. The date at the top always shows when it was last updated.
